This workshop will teach you how to prepare your honey bee product for competition entry standards.
Insights discovered will ensure that you are given the best information to ensure your entry is competitive.
The workshop will demonstrate to beekeepers what happens behind closed doors in the judging section of a honey show.
Joy Coy has been a honey judge since 2015.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to enter and increase your chances at a honey judging event.
Please come a few minutes early to allow for registration and settling in.
· Joy Coy is the workshop facilitator. She has been judging honey for 6 years at WAAS events and the Honey Festival.
· your workshop fee includes an informational handout and 1 x 375ml glass round jar. Should you wish to purchase extra
jars on the day they will be available for cash purchase.
· It will be a fun class full of product knowledge and information.
BONUS: There’s time for shopping at the Swan Settlers market where you can get Tea/Coffee and have a choice of lunch options. Opening hours: 9 am – 5 pm

The Serpentine Jarrahdale Food and Farm Alliance Inc., a not-for-profit organisation, was formed in 2014 as a means to preserving and valuing the peri-urban agricultural land that is within the Shire and to support local producers and farmers while bringing local food to local people.
Over the past 6 years the Alliance has held many workshops, field days, catered for many other community groups, held 4 Food and Farm Fests and now is launching the SJ Farmers’ Market. The Market will showcase the bounty of the Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire and other Peel Region areas while providing the local population with the chance to get to know local farmers, learn what is seasonally available in our area and partake in the freshest possible food. Enjoy!!
Little Eeden Farm Honey and Apiary is located in the beautiful shire of Chittering, we produce the purest, unprocessed natural and infused bush honey, which is unique in flavour.
Our proprietary recipes ensure we produce a consistent product. Our Chilli, Ginger and Garlic Honeys as well as our Honeymalade and Bee Tea are stacking with natural ingredients that support health and wellbeing.
All our products are hand prepared, packed and labelled at Little Eeden Farm.
Our onsite cafe The Hive is open Saturday and Sundays 10am-4pm, with weekly menus posted each week on our facebook page.

OVERVIEW
Join us to learn the basics of making natural beeswax candles in this fun & relaxed workshop at the Swan Settler Markets. You will learn to make three different styles of candle with the guidance of our expert candlemakers. You will also be treated to amazing coffee & baked goods from local Swan Valley artisans. Beginners are welcome, and everything you make will be yours to keep.

The Stirling Farmers Market has been operating for over 10years and is regarded as one of the best in Perth, certainly the biggest Sunday market. It is operated by the Rotary Club of Karrinyup as a not for profit event with all proceeds supporting our various Community and Youth projects and programs.
In celebration of the nationally recognised World Bee DAY, the Bees 2 Honey committee will be available to answer any sticky bee question & bring a variety of honey for sale!
Stirling Farmers Market is purely a “farmers” (food) market and does not allow arts, crafts or other businesses. Stallholders must “grow it” or “make it” .
Bring your shopping bags to stock up on great and fresh local produce, direct from the grower/producer, or just enjoy breakfast or a coffee while listening to our lovely buskers and soaking up the wonderful community atmosphere.

Bees Neez Apiaries welcome you to their property to view an array of different trucks, utes, loading and lifting devices used in an apiary situation.
If you are looking to upgrade your current items or wanting to get an idea of what is needed if you’re thinking of getting into bees or maybe expanding, then this is the place for you to bee.
